About Us

Prominent Plastics was founded in 2002 by Ray Olivas, who has over 25 years experience in plastic manufacturing.  Straight out of high school and with no experience, Ray began to work for a well-known fine art gallery who custom-framed their artwork and used outside sources to provide their plastic work.

Wanting to capitalize on the plastic market, the company decided to open it’s own plastic fabrication department where Ray was one of the first to be trained; thus began his profession.  During the next 18 years he worked with three companies, first as a fabricator, then in sales, and finally general management.

In late 2001, the decision was made to step out in faith and start his own company; thus the birth of Prominent Plastics.

Today we ship product all over the United States and abroad.  We are continually growing thanks to the continous support from our customers, of which I’d like to personally say “thank you,” and I look forward to our future together.
